Swim-X is built to protect your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what we (don’t) collect and how we handle your data.
Core Privacy Promises
- We work to keep your data safe using strong security practices and limited, purpose-bound processing.
- Anonymous by default: Swim-X does not require you to create an account and does not collect or store personal information by design.
- No trackers for the sake of tracking. Any diagnostics we may use are aggregated or anonymised where possible.
On-Device AI Processing
Swim-X performs most AI processing on your device. This means your videos and calculations can stay local, without being shared with Swim-X servers.
When Video Uploads Happen
For deep analysis of videos (an optional feature you choose to use), your swimming video is uploaded to Swim-X servers for transient processing. We process it and do not keep it longer than necessary to deliver the analysis. Results may be returned to your device; the original upload is not retained for your profile because Swim-X is anonymous by default.
Model Training & Your Choice
- Non-subscribers: If you are not on a subscription, some of your swimming races may be randomly and anonymously selected to help train Swim-X AI models.
- Subscribers: Paying users have the option to completely opt-out of their swimming videos being randomly used for training.
Training selection (when allowed) is designed to avoid identifying individuals. We focus on scenes and motion patterns, not identity.
Data We (Generally Don’t) Collect
- No name, email, or account details are required to use Swim-X.
- No permanent personal profile is created by default.
- Limited technical logs may be used to keep services secure and reliable (e.g., aggregate performance/error metrics), and are minimised where possible.
Your Controls
- Use Swim-X without an account to remain anonymous by default.
- Choose whether to use deep analysis (uploads) on a per-video basis.
- Subscribers can opt out of model-training use entirely.
Children
Swim-X is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information. If you believe we have inadvertently received personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice in-app.
